Choose a dash cam location on the windshield behind the rearview mirror
Clean the windshield area where the mount will attach
Attach the mount or adhesive pad to the windshield
Attach the dash cam to the mount
Route the power cable along the headliner and down the A-pillar
Hide the cable behind trim panels where possible
Connect the power cable to the 12V socket or hardwire kit
Secure any loose cable with clips or ties
Insert the memory card into the dash cam
Adjust the camera angle to capture the road ahead
Turn on the dash cam and confirm it powers up
Test recording and verify video quality
Set date, time, and recording settings
Check that the dash cam does not block the driver’s view
