Open the Facebook app or go to facebook.com
Log in to your account
Click your profile picture or menu icon
Go to Settings and privacy
Select Settings
Open Accounts Center
Tap Personal details
Select Account ownership and control
Choose Deactivation or deletion
Select the Facebook account you want to deactivate
Choose Deactivate account
Follow the on-screen prompts
Enter your password if asked
Confirm deactivation
