Open Instagram and go to your profile
Tap the menu icon
Tap Accounts Center
Tap Personal details
Tap Account ownership and control
Tap Deactivation or deletion
Select the Instagram account you want to delete
Tap Delete account
Choose a reason if prompted
Re-enter your password if prompted
Confirm the deletion
To delete permanently on the web, go to the Instagram account deletion page
Log in if needed
Select a reason
Confirm deletion
