Connect the PS4 controller to the PS4 console using a micro-USB cable
Turn on the PS4 console
Press the PS button on the controller
Wait for the controller light bar to pulse orange while charging
Leave the controller connected until fully charged
Use a wall charger or USB power source with a micro-USB cable if not charging through the PS4
Make sure the cable supports data and charging if the controller does not charge
Check the battery icon on the PS4 screen to confirm charging status
