Turn on the PS4 console
Connect the PS4 controller to the console with a USB cable
Press the PS button on the controller
Wait for the light bar to turn solid
Unplug the USB cable if you want to use it wirelessly
If it does not sync, reset the controller using the small reset button on the back
Reconnect the controller with the USB cable and press the PS button again
