Turn on the PS4
Connect the PS4 controller to the PS4 with a USB cable
Press the PS button on the controller
Wait for the light bar to stop blinking and stay lit
Disconnect the USB cable if you want to use it wirelessly
For a new controller, repeat the same steps to sync it to the console
To sync with another device, put the controller in pairing mode by holding the PS button and Share button until the light bar flashes rapidly
Select the controller from the device’s Bluetooth menu
