Unplug the keyboard or turn it off
Remove the keycaps with a keycap puller
Put the keycaps in warm water with mild soap
Let the keycaps soak briefly
Rinse the keycaps and let them dry completely
Shake out loose debris from the keyboard
Use compressed air to blow out dust and crumbs
Use a soft brush to clean between switches
Wipe the keyboard surface with a microfiber cloth
Use a cotton swab lightly dampened with isopropyl alcohol for stubborn grime
Clean around the edges and hard-to-reach areas
Let the keyboard dry fully before reassembling
Reinstall the keycaps
Test the keys after cleaning
