Rinse the sand dollars gently in cool fresh water
Soak them in a mixture of 1 part bleach to 3 parts water for 5 to 10 minutes
Remove them from the bleach solution and rinse thoroughly
Place them on a paper towel to dry completely
Brush off any remaining sand or debris with a soft toothbrush
Repeat the rinse and dry process if needed
Handle them carefully to avoid breaking the fragile edges
Store them in a dry place once fully clean and dry
