Place the ham in the crockpot, cut side down if possible
Score the surface of the ham in a diamond pattern if desired
Add 1/2 to 1 cup of liquid such as water, broth, apple juice, or pineapple juice
Cover the crockpot with the lid
Cook on low for 4 to 6 hours, or until heated through
Baste the ham with its juices occasionally if desired
Add glaze during the last 30 to 60 minutes if using one
Check that the internal temperature reaches 140°F for fully cooked ham
Remove the ham from the crockpot and let it rest before slicing
Slice and serve
