Blot up as much urine as possible with paper towels or a clean cloth
Press firmly and replace towels until the area is mostly dry
Mix equal parts white vinegar and water
Lightly spray or dab the solution onto the stain
Blot again with a clean cloth
Sprinkle baking soda over the damp area
Let it sit until dry
Vacuum up the baking soda
Apply an enzyme cleaner made for pet urine if needed
Follow the product instructions exactly
Blot the area after treatment
Repeat if the stain or odor remains
Avoid using hot water
Avoid scrubbing hard
