Turn off and unplug the record player
Secure the tonearm so it does not move
Locate the cartridge and stylus assembly
Identify whether the stylus pulls out, slides out, or unscrews
Gently remove the old needle according to the cartridge design
Avoid touching the new needle tip
Align the new needle with the cartridge opening
Insert or attach the new needle firmly until it clicks or seats properly
Check that the needle is straight and secure
Lower the tonearm carefully to test playback
Clean the new needle if needed before use
