Unplug the vacuum and remove the battery if it is cordless
Empty the dust cup and remove all filters
Detach the hose, wand, and any removable attachments
Remove the brush roll cover and take out the brush roll
Unscrew the main housing screws from the underside and rear
Separate the handle, wand, and floor head sections
Remove the motor housing cover screws
Lift off the outer shell carefully
Disconnect any visible wires or connectors if needed
Remove internal components one at a time
Keep screws and parts organized as you disassemble
