See a gynecologist or fertility specialist for an infertility evaluation
Review menstrual history, ovulation patterns, and pregnancy history
Confirm whether ovulation is occurring with ovulation predictor kits, basal body temperature tracking, or mid-luteal progesterone testing
Check hormone levels with blood tests such as FSH, LH, estradiol, AMH, prolactin, and thyroid function tests
Perform a pelvic exam and transvaginal ultrasound to assess the uterus and ovaries
Test for blocked fallopian tubes with hysterosalpingography or similar imaging
Evaluate for conditions such as polycystic ovary syndrome, endometriosis, fibroids, or pelvic infections
Review sexual health factors and screen for sexually transmitted infections if indicated
Assess age-related fertility factors
Have the male partner tested as well, including semen analysis
Consider additional testing such as hysteroscopy or laparoscopy if recommended by a specialist
