Unplug the keyboard or turn it off
Take a photo of the key layout
Use a keycap puller to remove the keycaps
Place the keycaps in a bowl of warm water with mild dish soap
Let the keycaps soak for 15 to 30 minutes
Gently scrub each keycap with a soft brush or microfiber cloth
Rinse the keycaps with clean water
Dry the keycaps completely with a towel
Let the keycaps air-dry fully before reattaching
Wipe the keyboard base with a dry or slightly damp microfiber cloth
Reinstall the keycaps in the correct positions
Test the keys after reassembly
