How to Dry Carpet?

Blot up as much water as possible with clean towels

Use a wet/dry vacuum to remove excess moisture

Open windows and doors to increase airflow

Turn on fans and point them at the carpet

Run a dehumidifier in the room

Lift furniture off the carpet

Remove rugs, mats, and other items from the area

Pull back carpet edges if needed to dry the padding

Replace soaked padding if it cannot be dried quickly

Check under the carpet for trapped moisture
