Look for electrical outlets, which are often attached to studs
Check for baseboards, trim, or nail patterns that may reveal stud locations
Measure 16 inches from a known stud center to find the next one
Use a small finishing nail or thin drill bit to confirm the stud location
Mark the stud center with pencil once found
