Slimy or sticky texture

Gray, green, or dull discoloration

Mold growth

Package is swollen, leaking, or damaged

Past the use-by or expiration date

Left out at room temperature for more than 2 hours

Left out for more than 1 hour if the temperature was above 90°F (32°C)

Cooked turkey has been stored in the fridge for more than 3 to 4 days

Raw turkey has been stored in the fridge for more than 1 to 2 days

Freezer burn alone does not mean it is bad, but quality may be poor

Unusual taste after cooking

Off smell after thawing or opening the package
