Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil
Add fettuccine to the boiling water
Stir occasionally to prevent sticking
Cook until al dente according to package instructions
Reserve some pasta water before draining
Drain the pasta
Toss with sauce immediately
Add reserved pasta water as needed to loosen the sauce
Serve hot
