Remove the emergency key blade by pressing the release button and pulling it out
Locate the seam or notch on the key fob body
Insert a small flat tool or your fingernail into the seam
Gently pry the two halves apart
Open the fob carefully to avoid damaging the clips
Replace the battery or inspect the inside as needed
Snap the two halves back together firmly
Reinsert the emergency key blade until it clicks
