How to Wash Car Engine?

Let the engine cool completely

Disconnect the negative battery terminal

Cover the battery, alternator, air intake, fuse box, exposed wiring, and sensitive electronics with plastic bags or waterproof covers

Remove loose dirt and debris by hand or with compressed air

Apply a degreaser to dirty areas

Let the degreaser sit for the recommended time

Gently scrub stubborn grime with a soft brush

Rinse lightly with low-pressure water or a damp cloth

Avoid spraying water directly into electrical components

Remove all plastic covers and bags

Dry the engine bay with microfiber towels

Use compressed air to blow out water from tight areas

Reconnect the battery terminal

Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes

Check for any warning lights or unusual behavior
