Pat the chicken wings completely dry with paper towels
Toss the wings with salt, pepper, and a little baking powder
Preheat the oven to 425°F to 450°F
Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top
Arrange the wings in a single layer with space between them
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes
Flip the wings and bake for another 20 to 25 minutes
Broil for 2 to 5 minutes if needed for extra crispiness
Toss with sauce after baking, if desired
Serve immediately
