Unfold the Mylar balloon carefully
Locate the inflation valve or opening
Insert a straw or balloon pump nozzle into the valve
Blow air into the balloon or use the pump
Inflate until the balloon is firm but not overfilled
Remove the straw or nozzle
Pinch or seal the valve closed if needed
Tie off the valve if the balloon design requires it
