Hold the glass cutter firmly
Apply a small amount of cutting oil if needed
Score the glass once in a single continuous motion
Keep steady, even pressure while scoring
Do not go over the same line twice
Tap lightly along the score line if needed
Position the score line at the edge of the surface
Snap the glass cleanly along the score line
Use running pliers if necessary
Smooth sharp edges with a sanding stone or glass file
Dispose of glass scraps safely
