Return the item to the store and ask them to remove the security tag with the proper tool
Bring the receipt or proof of purchase if available
Contact the retailer’s customer service for instructions
If the tag was left on accidentally, ask for a replacement or in-store removal
Do not force, cut, or break the tag yourself
If the tag contains ink or dye, keep it away from heat and pressure until it is removed
