Cut stems to a manageable length
Sort materials by size and color
Choose a string, thread, or fishing line
Cut the string to the desired lei length
Thread a needle if needed
Pierce each flower or leaf through the center or stem
Slide each piece along the string

Tie the ends of the string together securely
Trim any excess string
