How to Measure Deer Antlers?

Use a flexible tape measure

Measure each antler separately

Measure from the base at the burr to the tip of the main beam

Follow the center line of the beam, not a straight line

Measure all points, tines, or branches from their base to their tip

Measure the inside spread at the widest point between the main beams

Measure beam circumference at the smallest point between each point

Record the length of each tine on both antlers

Add the measurements according to the scoring method being used

Use the same method consistently for accurate comparison
