Follow a step-by-step return-to-learn and return-to-play plan
Take only medications approved by a healthcare professional
Use acetaminophen for headache if recommended
Avoid aspirin and ibuprofen unless a clinician says they are safe
Reduce bright lights and loud noise if they worsen symptoms
Keep stress low and pace daily activities
Monitor symptoms closely
Seek medical care if symptoms worsen or do not improve
Get urgent care for repeated vomiting, worsening headache, confusion, seizures, fainting, weakness, or trouble waking up
Follow all instructions from a doctor or concussion specialist
Do not return to contact sports until medically cleared
