How to Replant a Peace Lily?

Water the peace lily a few hours before repotting

Choose a pot 1 to 2 inches larger than the current pot with drainage holes

Fill the new pot partway with fresh, well-draining potting mix

Gently remove the plant from its old pot

Loosen the roots carefully with your fingers

Trim any dead, mushy, or damaged roots

Place the plant in the new pot at the same soil level as before

Add potting mix around the roots and press lightly

Water thoroughly until excess drains out

Empty any water from the saucer

Place the plant in bright, indirect light

Keep the soil lightly moist after repotting

Avoid fertilizing for a few weeks after repotting
