Choose a pot with drainage holes
Use well-draining cactus or succulent soil
Remove the aloe vera plant from its current pot
Gently shake off excess soil from the roots
Inspect the roots and trim any rotted or damaged parts
Let the plant sit out for a few hours if roots were cut
Place a layer of soil in the new pot
Position the aloe vera in the center of the pot
Fill around the roots with soil
Keep the base of the leaves above the soil line
Press the soil lightly to stabilize the plant
Do not water immediately after replanting
Wait 3 to 7 days before watering
Place the plant in bright, indirect sunlight
Water only when the soil is completely dry
Repot again when the plant becomes root-bound or crowded
