Start the engine and let it warm up
Press the clutch fully if driving a manual
Shift to neutral if parked or stationary
Keep the parking brake engaged
Press the accelerator pedal quickly and lightly
Release the pedal to let the RPM drop
Repeat as needed, avoiding prolonged high RPM
Do not rev a cold engine aggressively
Do not exceed the engine’s redline
