How to Transplant a Peace Lily?

Water the peace lily a day before transplanting

Choose a pot 1 to 2 inches larger than the current one with drainage holes

Prepare fresh, well-draining potting mix

Gently remove the plant from its current pot

Loosen the roots carefully

Trim any dead or rotting roots

Place a layer of potting mix in the new pot

Set the plant at the same soil level as before

Fill around the roots with fresh potting mix

Press the soil lightly to remove air pockets

Water thoroughly after transplanting

Let excess water drain completely

Place the plant in bright, indirect light

Keep the soil evenly moist for the first few weeks

Avoid fertilizing for a few weeks after transplanting
