Water only when the soil is completely dry
Check the top 2 to 3 inches of soil before watering
Water deeply until excess drains out
Empty any water collected in the saucer
Use a pot with drainage holes
Reduce watering in winter
Water less often in low light or cool conditions
Avoid getting water trapped in the center of the plant
Do not mist the leaves
Use room-temperature water
