Put on your graduation gown first
Zip, button, or fasten the gown completely
Make sure the gown hangs evenly on both sides
Wear a dress shirt, blouse, or formal outfit underneath
Put on the cap so it sits level on your head
Position the cap about one inch above your eyebrows
Keep the tassel on the right side before the ceremony
Adjust the cap so it is snug but comfortable
Smooth the gown so it falls straight
Check that sleeves and hem are aligned properly
Move the tassel to the left side when instructed during the ceremony
Keep the cap on straight and avoid tilting it back or sideways
