Put on the gown over your regular clothes

Zip, button, or fasten the gown if needed
Smooth out wrinkles and adjust the fabric
Keep the gown length straight and untwisted
Place the sleeves properly on both arms
Wear the collar or neckline flat and comfortable
Add the cap after the gown is on
Position the cap level on your head
Attach the hood or stole if required by your school
Check that the gown covers your outfit fully
Walk carefully to keep the gown in place
