Choose your jello flavor and amount (standard: 1 (3 oz) box per 2 cups total liquid)
Select alcohol type (vodka, rum, tequila, etc.)
Decide alcohol ratio (common: replace part of the water with alcohol)
In a heat-safe bowl or pot, bring 1 cup water to a simmer
Add the jello mix to the hot water and stir until fully dissolved
Add the alcohol to the dissolved jello mixture and stir
Stir in optional sweetener or flavor boosters (optional)
Pour mixture into shot cups
Refrigerate until set (typically 2–4 hours)
Serve chilled
