Ingredients: 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
Ingredients: 1/2 cup brown sugar (packed)
Ingredients: 1/4 cup granulated sugar
Ingredients: 1 tsp vanilla extract
Ingredients: 1/4 tsp salt
Ingredients: 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
Ingredients: 2 to 4 tbsp milk or cream (as needed)
Optional ingredients: 1 cup mini chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C)
Spread flour on a baking sheet in a thin layer
Bake flour 5 to 7 minutes, stirring once, until lightly warmed
Cool flour completely
In a bowl, cream butter and sugars until smooth
Mix in vanilla and salt
Add cooled flour and mix until combined
Add milk or cream 1 tbsp at a time until the dough reaches a scoopable texture
Fold in chocolate chips
Taste and adjust sweetness or salt if desired
Chill 15 to 30 minutes if too soft
Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 4 to 5 days
