How To Make Homemade Ice Cream?

Gather ingredients: heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, salt, vanilla extract (or other flavorings)

Optional add-ins: chocolate chips, fruit puree, cookie pieces, caramel, etc.

Combine in a bowl: 2 cups heavy cream, 1 cup whole milk, 1/2 to 3/4 cup sugar, 1/8 tsp salt, 1 to 2 tsp vanilla

Whisk until sugar dissolves

Chill mixture in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours (or overnight)

Pour into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions

Transfer churned ice cream to a container

Freeze 2 to 4 hours to firm up

Serve and store in the freezer, covered, for up to 1 to 2 weeks
