Open Instagram and find the story you want to repost
If you are mentioned in the story, open the DM notification or message from Instagram
Tap Add to Your Story
Edit the story if needed
Tap Your Story to post it
If you are not mentioned, take a screenshot or screen recording only if you have permission
Create a new story by tapping Your Story from the home screen
Upload the saved image or video from your gallery
Edit it if needed
Tap Your Story to share it
If the story is from a public account and sharing is allowed, tap the paper airplane icon
Select Add post to your story only when the option is available
Adjust the story and tap Your Story to repost it
