Press Windows + G to open Xbox Game Bar
Click the Capture widget
Click the Record button or press Windows + Alt + R
To stop recording, click the Stop button or press Windows + Alt + R
Find the recording in Videos > Captures
Use Snipping Tool for screen recording on supported Windows versions
Open Snipping Tool
Select the Record option
Click New
Select the area to record
Click Start
Click Stop when finished
Save the recording
Use Microsoft PowerPoint
Open PowerPoint
Go to Insert
Select Screen Recording
Choose the area to record
Click Record
Click Stop when finished
Save the recording
Use a third-party app like OBS Studio
Install OBS Studio
Add a Display Capture source
Click Start Recording
Click Stop Recording when finished
Find the saved file in the output folder
