Consider over-the-counter pain relief only as directed on the label and avoid ibuprofen or naproxen if your stomach is upset
Seek medical care urgently if you have severe pain, signs of dehydration, blood in stool, high fever, repeated vomiting, a swollen belly, or symptoms lasting more than a few days
