Turn on your new iPhone and place it near your old iPhone
Make sure both iPhones are connected to Wi-Fi and have Bluetooth turned on
Keep both iPhones plugged into power
Follow the Quick Start prompt on your old iPhone
Use your old iPhone camera to scan the animation on the new iPhone
Enter your old iPhone passcode on the new iPhone
Set up Face ID or Touch ID on the new iPhone
Choose Transfer from iPhone when prompted
Wait for the transfer to finish
Keep both devices nearby until the process is complete
Sign in to your Apple ID if asked
Check that your apps, photos, messages, and settings transferred correctly
If needed, restore from an iCloud backup instead
If needed, transfer data using a computer backup and restore
Insert or activate your SIM or eSIM on the new iPhone
Update your apps and iPhone software if needed
