Press and hold the power button
If prompted, tap Power off or Shut down
On some phones, press and hold the power button and volume up or volume down button together
On some iPhones, press and hold the side button and either volume button, then slide to power off
If the screen is unresponsive, hold the power button longer until the phone turns off
If needed, use the settings menu and choose Power off or Shut down
