Open Gmail on your computer or mobile device
Use the search bar to find the archived email by sender, subject, keyword, or date
Click or tap the email to open it
If needed, search for the label All Mail to view archived messages
On desktop, click More in the left menu, then select All Mail
On mobile, open the menu and tap All Mail
Archived emails are not in the Inbox, but they remain in Gmail
To move an archived email back to the Inbox, open it and select Move to Inbox
Use Gmail search operators like from:, subject:, or older_than: to narrow results
