Check for worsening cramps or longer periods
Feel for abdominal enlargement, but do not rely on this
Use a home pregnancy test if pregnancy is possible
Schedule a gynecologist visit for a pelvic exam
Get an ultrasound or other imaging to confirm fibroids
Seek urgent care for severe pain, very heavy bleeding, or fainting
