How To Multiply Exponents?

When multiplying powers with the same base, add the exponents: (a^m cdot a^n = a^{m+n})

Keep the base the same

Add only the exponents

Example: (x^2 cdot x^5 = x^7)

Example: (3^4 cdot 3^2 = 3^6)

When multiplying powers with different bases, multiply normally: (a^m cdot b^n)

If a power is raised to another power, multiply the exponents: ((a^m)^n = a^{m cdot n})

Example: ((x^3)^4 = x^{12})

If there is a coefficient, multiply the coefficients and apply exponent rules to the variables: (2x^3 cdot 5x^2 = 10x^5)
