Check the door closer cam or hinge cam for wear
Replace the cam if the door does not close properly
Verify the refrigerator is level
Adjust the front leveling legs so the door closes evenly
Inspect the door handle for looseness
Tighten or replace the handle screws
Check the door bins, shelves, and internal items for obstruction
Remove anything blocking the door from closing
Test the door seal with a dollar bill or paper strip
Replace the door seal if the paper pulls out too easily
Reinstall all parts securely
Plug the refrigerator back in and test the door opening and closing
Contact GE service if the hinge, frame, or door shell is cracked or bent
