Thread the line through the eye of the hook, lure, or swivel
Wrap the tag end around the standing line the required number of times
Pass the tag end back through the loop or opening in the knot
Moisten the knot with water or saliva
Pull the tag end and standing line to tighten the knot
Slide the knot snug against the eye
Trim the excess tag end close to the knot
Check the knot for tightness before casting
