Open the App Store
Download a VPN app from a trusted provider
Open the VPN app
Sign in or create an account
Allow the app to add VPN configurations
Choose a server location
Tap Connect
Enter your iPhone passcode or Face ID if prompted
Check that the VPN status shows connected
To disconnect, open the app and tap Disconnect
To use a manually configured VPN, open Settings
Tap General
Tap VPN & Device Management
Tap VPN
Tap Add VPN Configuration
Enter the VPN details from your provider
Save the configuration
Turn the VPN switch on in Settings
To remove a VPN, open Settings
Tap General
Tap VPN & Device Management
Tap VPN
Tap the info icon next to the VPN
Tap Delete VPN
