List all your classes for the grading period
Convert each letter grade to grade points on a 4.0 scale
Add extra points for honors, AP, or IB classes if your school uses weighted GPA
Multiply each class’s grade points by its credit value if classes have different credits
Add all grade points together
Add all credits together
Divide total grade points by total credits
Round to the nearest hundredth if needed
Use your school’s GPA scale if it differs from the standard 4.0 scale
