Wash your hands and hold the CD by the edges or center hole

Dry the CD with a clean, dry microfiber cloth
Repeat gentle straight-line wipes until clean
Avoid circular rubbing
Avoid paper towels, rough cloths, and abrasive cleaners
Avoid strong solvents like acetone or ammonia
Let the CD air-dry completely before using it
